The contents and information in this book are very useful and helpful in creating POS for .NET service objects for different POS devices.
The exercises are very detailed and will help you understand the connection between POS applications, service objects, and POS devices for better implementation of service objects.
The author was very kind to reply to inquiries.
Through the information in this book, I was able to create the service objects for Elane USB Scales - USB Plus, USB Parcel, USB Plus Bluetooth, and PS2000 USB.

This seems to be the only book about this topic, so it's the best by default.
There's a lot of good information, but there are a few places where I wish he'd gone into some more depth.
It appears to be self published, so there are some of the quirks of phrasing and organization that a good professional editor might have helped iron out.
All in all, very helpful and I don't think that I would be nearly as far along with the project without it.

Good book if you want to develop POS on .NET

Bought this for an unrelated reason. I was having trouble with using a POS printer on a non-POS application. Found the author's answer on a forum that explained why I was having my troubles. Fixed the problem in no time at all. Now, I've done Point of Sale programming in the past and did it for 10 years. I always had trouble with the physical devices when it came toOPOS. This book has been invaluable in resolving those issues.
