The Burden: A warning of things to come, by Paul Thigpen

A sense of foreboding has deepened across our land ... Spiritually, socially, politically, economically, the fierce consequences of our choices as a nation whirl around us and threaten us with catastrophe. The storm clouds gather; the thunder rumbles; the darkness descends. While the tempest approaches, many are asleep. Others sense danger in the air but are uncertain of its source and scope. Now a new book, The Burden, has appeared in the hope of rousing the sleepers and clarifying the danger. Best-selling author Paul Thigpen insists that we are seeing today a repetition of the historical pattern so vividly presented in biblical prophecy, an echo of events that took place long ago. God’s ultimate response to sinful nations is merciful but terrifying chastisement. Our recent history invites, perhaps demands, such chastisement. If we turn from our evil ways, we have hope of avoiding disaster. But the burning question remains: Will we turn?

Awaken Christians

Paul Thigpen's new book, The Burden, just left me saying, "Wow!" This book is a call to action to repent and come back to our Lord. Our time is short, but God's mercy is forever. It is not by accident that I see Paul's words tying in with the words of our new Holy Father. You can't wait another day to purchase this prophetic book! Buy one for yourself and one for everyone you know. I truly believe this book was given to Paul by God. Wow!!!

Powerful Prophecy
By Jef
This is a disturbing but very powerful work of synthesis and prophesy. I won't say I enjoyed it, because its message is raw and unnerving. But I will say it is timely, desperately needed in our world at this moment, and, oddly, reassuring.

There are times in the life of a child when he may be caught in some significant wrongdoing by an adult and held accountable for his actions. As unpleasant as that may be, he may later look back at that moment as crucial for his subsequent maturing into responsible adulthood.

Paul Thigpen's latest book offers us a similar encounter. His words are harsh, but not unwarranted. And, at a time that is seeing traditional morals and values swept away by demagoguery and populist jingoism, this call to repentance may provide us all with needed reminders of what is at stake if we refuse to acknowledge our errors and repent of our misdeeds.

Eye opening
By Shelby L. Weidler
This book consists of scriptures that are gathered together under specific subjects. I liked that I could read all related references at one time instead of separately while you are reading the bible. It was eye opening because no one can claim ignorance once the full subject is read. You know exactly what you are supposed to be.
