About the Author
Dr Nessar Ahmed is a Reader in Clinical Biochemistry at the Manchester Metropolitan University, where his research examines the role of protein glycation in diabetes. His teaching includes clinical biochemistry, endocrinology, and analytical science.

Excellent book! As a doctor I find more interesting ...

Excellent book! As a doctor I find more interesting that it has clinical information on relevant subjects e.g. renal or liver problems. On the beggining it also gives as an idea about analytical chemistry. I strongle recommend this book for all doctors, medical students, lab staff/ technicians, technologists/ scientists and biologists, biochemists and chemists. It is cheap and has extensive information about clinical biochemistry issues. It also has introduction information, e.g. on renal function tests it refers to kidney anatomy and physiology in order to understand better the pathology of this organ that is reflected on the biochemistry results.
