Not a very useful book.

This has to be about the weirdest pedagogical language text I have ever seen. It presents the grammar in a completely unsystematic way. It has very few full examples, no dialog examples, no lists of vocabulary except for a "how do you say this in Javanese" section at the end of the book. Yet this book is characterized as "highly successful", and is evidently in its third edition, so I suppose I must be missing something.
