A Tiny Precious Gem

Stephen Mitchell's translation of Lao-tzu's precious "Book of the Way" is poetic, clear, many times humorous, and full of deep wisdom for living a moral, compassionate life. I carry this 3 1/2" x 5" pocket edition in my purse so I can open it up anywhere any time I have a free moment. It is a guide to living life in perfect harmony with the way things are; to giving up all concepts, judgments, and desires, and embodying the light. Lao-tzu speaks of the "Master," and Mitchell uses both "he" and "she" pronouns, as the Chinese language does not differentiate gender. In addition to the lyrical translation of Lao-tzu's words, Mitchell, who spent 14 years in Zen training, provides notes so that the reader can further understand their intent and power. I cannot recommend this little book more highly.

This is the very best version of the Tao I have ever read. It is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this fantastic book to anyone interested in expanding her/his consciousness or world view. Beautifully written it is, without a doubt, a lovely and inspiring book.

Behram Ardeshir was born in Mumbai, lives in Mumbai and hopes to die in Mumbai. He lives with his wife, children and five dogs. He comes from an old and respected Parsi family and runs his own successful business. He has a healthy interest in classic automobiles, antique porcelain, sports and animals. He is also involved in various charitable works. He has travelled extensively, experiencing many very unusual situations and circumstances from his childhood to the present. His experiences have given him a different perspective on life that is evident in the characters he has created and the style of writing he has adopted. He is currently working on a full length novel which is a fictional account of a recent major international incident.

Ardeshir takes us through the thrilling saga of an Indian Parsi super-assassin named Maut or "Death" in Hindi. A fictional Indian "Carlos the Jackal", Maut is the product of his upbringing in Mumbai - a city the author vividly brings to life. Through a series of vignettes, each describing a particular assignment, the reader experiences the full range of emotions and action experienced by Maut. Covering a broad range of territory from Cyprus to the hill stations of India and the dark depths of Siberia, the author keeps the book moving at a fast pace across multiple geographies. A taut, action-packed narrative kept me up all night as the action climaxed towards its final denouement. A must read for Indians who like Frederick Forsyth or Robert Ludlum style thrillers and for others interesting in a good read.

This series continues to impress

I love how dynamic and individual each alien is throughout the series - I find a lot of sci-fi authors make the mistake of turning a set of characteristics for their alien race into a stereotypical personality that is followed as a general rule for background characters and the main character(s) are treated as an exception to such. The way Yamila balances each individual's drive for empire and steadfast practice of faith with their unique experiences and attitudes makes them enjoyably unpredictable. In this novella, Jaximor is mischievous, devious, and a slow smolder. I never knew what to expect from him next!

Meredith is a fun babe to live vicariously through. She's got a strong personality and is much more of a "modern woman" than most blushing virgin romance heroines - she enjoys sex, she knows what she wants and goes out and gets it, and she's very happy to have a fun-loving husband who's just as feisty as her. The decisions she makes and her stance on the things she finds important just make you want to point at her and firmly say "Yes. This is the content I'm here for." The way Meredith and Jaximor communicate and the way they tease each other made their relationship a joy to read.

Plus, hot sex. Hot hot sex. Meredith's line (you'll know the one) made me grin from ear to ear.

This one was a little short but very sweet. I really like Meredith and I think she was lucky to have married Jaximor. I'm in love with Alien Bride saga and I will continue to read them

Unbeatable

The Cambridge Interchange series is undoubtedly the best course I have taught for beginning and intermediate students. The activities are engaging and relevant, the grammar is introduced in a way that is informative enough to resolve any pertinent questions, but in a very non-threatening way. I highly recommend the teacher's edition for instructors and the Full Contact edition for students.

By the way, don't make the same mistake I did and mistake this teacher's resource book for the teacher's edition. Teacher's resource book has a few extra activities and worksheets for each chapter, so it may be worth it or not for you to purchase it. I generally get on fine with just the teacher's edition, but since I have it now I'll make good use of it!

school love

while going school you as a girl u always wanted to be noticed by the guy, the one that is so popular that no one stands a chance and always make your heart pump. Riley Peterson is that guy and jason is madly in love. although it is a sort story ur attention was captured from beginning to end.
i enjoyed this book and its something fresh from noah harris, some authors write the same thing over and over and it gets boring after a while especially for me since i read books by authors and not necessarily by title. looking forward to part 2

Mr. Harris has taken over the author top spot on my mist read list! With thay being said let's get into this book. Hats off, standing ovation this intro to the series left a great deal the imagination as well as introduced the characters in a new and interesting light. If this was an introduction to the characters I can't wait for the rest of this series. Great book, great read, great beginning! A highly recommended read!

"The Most Important Game" is a great book for anyone who has ever dreamt of getting "The Guy". Jason is the guy you want to see overcome all obstacles. He is awkward, shy and soooo easily relatable. The author does a great job of drawing you in right from the beginning.
As the story progresses and grows, so do the characters; And so does the plot. As reader I couldn't help but keep reading. I just had to find out.
